Build the foundations for better measurements
A bit of practice upfront goes a long way. Invest a little time now to develop good habits that will serve you every time you measure.
Unbox and charge
We recommend charging your LX1 fully before first use.
Install the app and log in
If you're a new Moasure user
Install the latest version of the Moasure app and create your account. You can then connect your device.
If you're an existing Moasure user
Log in using your existing Moasure account. You can then connect your LX1. Got to:
Settings > Account & Device Management > Device > Add DeviceGet the app:Accept the firmware update when prompted. It takes a few minutes and cannot be skipped.

Troubleshooting
Find the answer you need
Explore answers and solutions to some of the most common LX1 queries below.
Check Bluetooth is on, the app has permission to use it, and LX1 is charged and awake. You must connect your LX1 to your phone via the Moasure app and not your phone's bluetooth settings. If the device does not appear, close the app fully and reopen it before retrying.
LX1 needs to be completely still for each point to be captured. Place it smoothly against the surface, apply light, consistent pressure and wait for the LEDs to transition from red to green. You’ll also hear a confirmation sound when the point has been captured.
If it is genuinely unresponsive rather than waiting, close the app fully, reopen it, and reconnect.
If you captured the points but didn't select the door or window icon, use the Swap tool to turn them into a door or window. If you didn't capture the points at all, measure the room again. Capturing openings as you go is quicker than fixing them afterwards, so it's worth building the habit early.

Sending a measurement in the app
Send us your measurement and tell us what happened, so our team can take a closer look and give you the right guidance.
In the Moasure app:
- Select File, then Open
- Tap the folder holding your measurement
- Tap the three dots on the measurement
- Select Send to Support
- Share some details about what happened
- Tap Submit request
