Moasure, the Warwick based measuring technology business, has won the Disruptor award at the 2022 West Midlands Business Masters ceremony held in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Launched by TheBusinessDesk.com in 2021, the Business Masters Awards celebrate companies that have achieved spectacular results in the past twelve months.
Moasure was shortlisted in both the Disruptor and Fast Growth Business categories.
Independently judged, the Business Masters Awards ceremony brings together the region’s business owners and leaders to recognize and celebrate the achievements of firms of all sizes.
Commenting on the award win, Alan Rock, co-CEO of Moasure, said: “We’re all really proud to have won this prestigious award. Across the world, demand and interest in Moasure continues to grow exponentially – revenue has almost tripled in the last 12 months and we’re seeing great success with the recent launch of five new online stores to accommodate rising sales in Europe.
“Our motion-based measuring technology is truly unique and is now being adopted across the globe as the new way to accurately measure difficult spaces.
“This year will see us continue to develop our technology and increase our sales globally. We’re very grateful to our customers for their feedback and we’re working hard to add new features and increase the capabilities of our unique measuring technology so that we can continue to delight both existing and new Moasure users into 2023 and beyond.”
In September, Moasure ONE won two prestigious accolades including the 2022 ‘Best in Show’ award at LANDSCAPE – and the 2022 Innovation Award at GaLaBau, one of Europe’s biggest international trade shows dedicated to the landscape design and construction industries.
Moasure is definitely on it, when it comes to customer service and getting products out on time.
Hi,
I am very satisfied with the service I received from your compagny.
We add some trouble with the shipment and one of your employee was very hepfull.
My brother lives in Hawaii and recently had knee replacement surgery. I went over to help with his recovery and he mentioned this product and how interested he was in it. He is in construction and landscaping so this is the perfect device for him…saves time and money. I bought it as a gift and he absolutely loves it. He says it works great and is a huge time saver.
I don’t have any pictures but I can tell you..he’s very particular about his contracts and results and he has been thrilled with this device. Had endless amounts of praise for it.
OMG!! This little device is amazing! I'm a 65 year old lady who quotes residential concrete lifting for our family business. Customer are very impressed seeing me measure area, as well as slope with my MOASURE! It looks a lot more professional and really raises my game! I just hope my competition doesn't see these!
I got my Moasure One a little over a month ago and it has quickly become the most helpful landscaping tool I have. (Well, maybe second, after my shovel). I'm not a professional landscaper or builder. We own a botanical sanctuary on 10 acres of forested land, where we propagate and conserve endangered native medicinal plants, and one of my major problems for years has been trying to accurately map the property, including elevations, and to accurately record the locations and dimensions of planting areas in the forest. When I found the Moasure One online, it seemed kind of expensive for personal use but, since having just one boundary of the property surveyed a few years ago cost a couple thousand dollars, I figured I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did!
With the Moasure One, I was able to quickly and easily map out the property boundaries, all the buildings and planting beds, and even locate key plants within the beds. I then was able to export that map into my landscaping design software and add the trees and plants. Now, thanks to the Moasure One I have an accurate, 3D and virtually walkable, map of the property at a fraction of the cost of having it professionally surveyed. And using the Moasure One, I'll be able to keep that map up to date as we make additional beds and plantings. Definitely money well spent.
I wish I got it a long time ago. Not having to use a pencil and tape while drawing my own sketch. After the first house I feel like I am way more comfortable using it and knowing the tricks. Not only the fact does it take the measurements but the fact that it can upload that to chief architect is huge. Save me hours of time which now I can pass on to the customer making me more competitive. I like it so much that i posted about it on my Wicked Builders Facebook and Instagram. I recommend to everyone. Buy it
The product definitely has a learning curve, but once you figure it out, it is amazing. Makes measuring rooms faster, and makes measuring large outside areas a breeze.
I got this product because I used to measure concrete and people's houses, but it was quite time-consuming when I relied on a wheel or laser. Now, with this tool, I can measure 10,000 ft² of concrete in just 15 minutes. It has significantly improved my efficiency and professionalism, and I really appreciate this product.
Easy to use and easy to set up….used this vs a measuring wheel and it was within 2% different….took half the time with the Moasure.
I am picky. Very. I have been field measuring for decades. Often the data is clear, but at times a key piece slips away in notations. While there are so many solid features with Moasure, the biggest value add is the recording of data. By using the routines in the video tutorial and moving at a reasonable cadence through the field data collection phase, all points are recorded and can be revisited for verification.
- Examples are
- Uneven terrain, arduous sites, and inaccessible areas such as wet, arroyo
or snake habitats. By creating a terrain data map when a civil survey is not
available (or when verifying a site after demolition and rough grading), the
measure system provides verifiable data points that can be triangulated,
instead of "guessing."
- Verification of sheet flow
- Use in design options for drafting
The moasure (we have 2) is rugged, cleanly designed, and easy to use. My team trained up quickly!
Thank you!
The first time I used it on a job site, I found myself pretty frustrated with how many variables go into getting an accurate measurement. I either moved too fast, rotated it out of a corner too quick, set it down too hard or too light, or accidentally bumped it while moving along uneven ground; however, after about two days of using it on two or three job sites, I've gotten a really good feel for how to move it and what to look for before I begin measuring.
Ultimately, it's my absolute favorite measuring tool for my landscaping business, whether it's a tree ring, horse arena, or a new driveway.
I will start by saying the Moasure tool will change completely how you approach quoting and measuring up your landscape jobs.
As a Landscape Architect, I visit dozens of site a year, and often the issue I run into is not having available survey information. Previously measure by hand was the only way to get measurements, and grade changes were always a best guess. This measuring process was time consuming and time away from the computer designing is lost product time.
Measuring with moasure has sped up the process of measuring complex shapes and allowing me to get changes in grades without investing in more expensive equipment. The direct export to CAD has further reduced by drafting time as I no longer have to work off hand drawings and PDFS.
You are going to want to get the Moasure stick as I can image bending over constantly to measure can be a real pain. Its very sturdy and adjusts to different heights to work in tight spaces.
While this is a great product there are a few things you should note before going out into the field. Make sure you practice using it before going out. Watch the tutorial videos, test it in your own backyard, verify your practice measurements with a tape measure so you know you are doing it correctly. Moasure is a great tool, but a tool that still requires you to know what you are doing. It is not a major learning curve, but nonetheless you need to learn and its best to do that before you are on the clients property. A side note, the charging cord is very short and I suggest you get a longer one.
Overall highly recommended the product and I am happy that it is already paying dividends in time reduction and accuracy.
Only used it so far a couple of times. Did a full house measure of rough measurements that I have did using a tape. Then located them using the Moasure One ans stick and it came out pretty good. Going back to site to look at site location and heights this weekend.
