Moasure ONE Measuring Modes Help

Please choose from the measuring modes listed below to learn more about how best to use them.

If you are regularly receiving measurement tips when measuring, please take a look at how to prevent this from happening and guarantee good measurements by clicking here >>

Object (including Point to Point and Edge to Edge)

Object mode can be used to measure the length or width of an object such as a table, a fence or even a wall.

There are two different types of object mode, both are outlined below and show how to change between the two:

Object Point to Point mode

This is the default option when measuring with Moasure ONE and it uses the reference point of the Moasure ONE like in all other modes. The reference point is the back corner of the Moasure ONE behind the LED.

Our video shows object Point to Point mode in action. Watch it here >>

If your measurement takes longer than 3-4 seconds, you should pause your measurement along the way. Watch our example here >>

Object Edge to Edge mode

To select Edge to Edge mode, you must first be within the object measuring mode. Then simply head to settings and you will see ‘Object-mode Point-to-Point.’ Toggle this setting off to use Edge to Edge mode. You can also see how to do this in the video below.

This mode uses the edge of the Moasure ONE device as the reference point, unlike in other modes whereby it uses the reference point behind the LED for measuring.

If your measurement takes longer than 3-4 seconds, you should pause your measurement along the way. Watch our example here >>

Space

Space mode enables you to measure the distance between two walls or objects.

Our video walkthrough of measuring a space should show how to use this mode correctly. View the video here >>

For longer measurements, you should ‘pause’ the movement every 3-4 seconds. See an example video of space mode with a pause here >>

Please note: This mode requires rotating the device but please be gentle when doing so. Try not to tilt your Moasure ONE.

----

Height

Height mode allows you to measure the height of an object in two simple steps.

Our video here shows how to measure using height mode. Watch it here >>

----

Wall Thickness

Measure the thickness of a wall using this mode.

Our walkthrough video should help you to understand how to successfully use this mode. Watch the video >>

If the measurement for the thickness of the wall is longer than 3-4 seconds, then you should pause. To do this, simply place the Moasure device stationary for 1 second and then continue your movement. Moasure will only display the distance from the first and last point. The last point being when you select ‘finish measurement’.

----

Pipe/Cable Run

Pipe/Cable Run mode allows you to measure out the route of a pipe or a cable. Simply tap along the route with the device.

Please note: You must hold the Moasure device flat and stationary against an object along your route. Don’t click ‘finish measurement’ until you are at your final point.

Our walkthrough video should help show you how to do this here >>

----

Angle between lines

Place the Moasure device flat against one line and then flat against the other to measure the angle between the two lines.

See the walkthrough here >>

----

Angle between surfaces

Hold your Moasure ONE stationary against one surface before moving to the next surface. The app will then tell you the angle between these two surfaces.

Horizontal Level

Find the horizontal level with Moasure by selecting this mode. Or, check to see if an object is horizontally level.

If you're not quite level, we'll tell you in the app and direct you to help you achieve a level measurement. The app will display an arrow facing down if you are too low and an arrow facing up if you are too high.

See more in the video here >>

----

Vertical Level

Vertical Level mode guides you to ensure that you find the plumb line. Or, you can check to see if something is vertically level.

If you're not quite level, we'll tell you in the app and direct you to help you achieve a level measurement. The app will display an arrow facing left if you are too far over to the left and an arrow right up if you are too far to the right.

See our video here >>

----

Gradient

Find the gradient using this mode.

Our video below shows how to correctly measure the gradient. It also shows how to pause along the route. You will need to pause if the measurement will take longer than 3-4 seconds. The timer bar on your screen and the audible feedback from the app will help remind you of this.

Horizontal Level & Distance

Find the horizontal level and distance with Moasure by selecting this mode. Or, check to see if an object is horizontally level whilst also checking the length/width/distance.

If you're not quite level, we'll tell you in the app and direct you to help you achieve a level measurement. The app will display an arrow facing down if you are too low and an arrow facing up if you are too high.

See more in the video here >>

Vertical Level & Distance

Vertical Level & Distance mode helps you find the plumb line as well as telling you the distance measurement. Alternatively, you could also check to see if something is vertically level and the length/width/distance.

If you're not quite level, we'll tell you in the app and direct you to help you achieve a level measurement. The app will display an arrow facing left if you are too far over to the left and an arrow right up if you are too far to the right.

2D & Area

This mode will provide you with the 2D area of an object.

Our video below will show how to successfully use this mode. Please note: you must select ‘Next Dimension’ in this mode once you have measured the first section; be it the width or length of the object.

2D & Area walkthrough >>

----

3D & Volume

Calculate the 3D Volume of an object by selecting this mode.

Our walkthrough video below will show how to successfully use this mode. See the walkthrough here >>

Please note: you must select ‘Next Dimension’ in this mode after each measurement, e.g. after you have measured the width, height or length of the object (shown in the video above).

If you need to pause in this mode because the measurement is taking longer than 3-4 seconds, simply pause for 1 second with the device held flat and stationary against a surface and do not click the next dimension button.
