Moasure enables you to take the following types of measurements:
Measure the size of an object.
Measure the dimensions of a room.
Measure any distance up to 100m / 325ft.
Measure the angle between two lines or two surfaces.
Tap the ‘measuring mode’ button at the bottom of the screen, and choose the mode you want to use.
How to measure the size of an object
Following the instructions on the screen, hold your phone at one side of the object and press the Start Measurement button. When instructed, move the phone to the end. Repeat to get an average measurement.
How to measure a room dimension
Following the instructions on the screen, hold your phone on one wall of the room and press the Start Measurement button. When instructed, move the phone to the other wall. Repeat to get an average measurement.
How to measuring round obstacles
Simply walk around the obstacle while measuring, and Moasure will calculate the distance through the obstacle.
Multi-step measurements
For measurements greater than 3m / 10ft, the result will be more accurate if you measure in 2 or more steps.
How to increase the accuracy of the measurements:
Pick the phone up, move it and then put it down again, rather than slide it along the surface of the object.
Move your phone smoothly through the air, holding the phone parallel to the object being measured. Avoid rotating your phone.
Take the measurement as quickly as possible. The 5-second timer bar indicates when the measurement accuracy will deteriorate. If the timer bar reaches the amber or red regions, we recommend using the multi-step measurement mode instead (coming up next).
The accuracy of the measurement can be significantly improved by repeating the measurement up to five times, and using the average value. Because of the limited accuracy of the motion sensors in your phone, we recommend taking the average of two or three measurements to be confident in the result. If one result appears very different to the others it can be deleted by tapping the [image of the cross in a circle] button.

3. Single distance landscape measurement
Put your phone with either the left side of the phone aligned with the left side of the object, or the right side of your phone aligned with the right side of the object. Tap the ‘Start Measurement’ button. (You can also tap the ‘Start’ button before aligning the phone against the object). Hold the phone still against the object until Moasure indicates you should move it to the end of the measurement (about 1 second). If it still says ‘WAIT’ after a few seconds, the object may be vibrating too much. Tap the ‘Cancel’ button and start again. Quickly move the phone and align it against the other edge of the object being measured. Align the opposite edge of the phone with the edge of the measured object. Hold the phone still against the object until the measured value is displayed (about 2 seconds). Increase the accuracy of the measurement by repeating the measurement up to five times, and using the average value. Because of the limited accuracy of the motion sensors in your phone, we recommend taking the average of two or three measurements to be confident in the result. If one result appears very different from the others it can be deleted by tapping the [image of the cross in a circle] button. Watch the video to see how to average multiple measurements: Measurements will be more accurate if you pick the phone up, move it and put it down again, rather than slide it along the surface of the object. Accuracy will also be improved by taking the measurement quickly. The 5-second timer bar indicates when the accuracy will deteriorate. If the timer bar reaches the amber or red regions, we recommend using the multi-step measurement mode instead.
4. Single distance Portrait’ measurement mode
“Tap the ‘measuring mode’ button at the centre bottom of the screen, and choose the mode you want to measure with. The currently selected mode is used to measure the distance between two surfaces up to 3m / 10ft apart, e.g. the distance between two walls to measure a room dimension. Watch the video clip to see how to measure in this mode. Put your phone with the back of the phone against the first surface e.g. against a wall. Tap the ‘Start Measurement’ button. (You can also tap the ‘Start’ button before placing the phone against the surface). Hold the phone stationary against the surface until Moasure indicates you should move it to the end of the measurement (about 1 second). If it still says ‘WAIT’ after a few seconds, the surface may be vibrating too much. Tap the ‘Cancel’ button and start again. Quickly move the phone and put the back of it against the second surface, e.g. the opposite wall. Hold the phone stationary against the surface until the measured value is displayed (about 2 seconds). Moasure takes the thickness of your phone into account when calculating the measurement result. Increase the accuracy of the measurement by repeating the measurement up to five times, and using the average value. Because of the limited accuracy of the motion sensors in your phone, we recommend taking the average of two or three measurements to be confident in the result. If one result appears very different to the others it can be deleted by tapping the [image of the cross in a circle] button. Watch the video to see how to average multiple measurements: Accuracy will also be improved by taking the measurement quickly. Hold the phone stationary against the object until Moasure indicates you should move it to the end of the measurement (about 1 second). If it still says ‘WAIT’ after a few seconds, the object may be vibrating too much. Tap the ‘Cancel’ button and start again. Quickly move the phone towards the other edge of the object being measured. After about 3 seconds, temporarily rest the phone against any stationary object within reach – don’t worry if the object is not in a straight line between the start and end of your measurement; Moasure will still calculate the straight line distance. After about 1 second, Moasure will indicate you can move on again, and continue measuring. Repeat the above steps until you reach the other edge of the object being measured, at which point align the opposite edge of the phone with the edge of the measured object. Hold the phone stationary against the object until the measured value is displayed (about 2 seconds). The accuracy of the measurement can be significantly improved by repeating the measurement up to five times, and using the average value. Easy to use and easier to set up.
I’ve only used it a few times easy to navigate in the app. When you show up and can get a measurement as fast and as easy as it is to walk the perimeter. It really makes you look professional.
The Moasure One has been incredibly useful. I use it to take measurements to order materials and to create as-builts. Being able to look at the files and see the actual shape of an area and not just the measurements makes it easy to show someone how you want work to be done and the material placed. I wish I had this when I first started working as an engineer, it would have made a lot of jobs a lot easier.
I have a customer with a front entrance to a building that is a little out of the ordinary. I had one of my guys go out to draw and measure. He came back so I could get the square footage and both the drawing and measurements were off. He went out again and still not right to calculate. I then went out to get drawings an measurements. Came back to calculate the square footage and because nothing was square, I had to do some geometry. At that moment, the delivery of my new Moasure had arrived. So I said to my self..."Self, lets go and see what this does". I was there for 3 minutes traced the edge of the area, not only got the correct drawing, I got the correct "moasure"ments, a drawing, and the square footage... in 3 minutes. What a time saver. I have been using this a few times a week. Thanks for this great product.

I love giving good gifts, and this one takes the cake. I purchased Moasure ONE as a gift for the project manager at our Construction company because his job entails continuous measuring of sidewalks, paving, etc.. He said it has saved him so much time and stress at job sites. If you want to get someone a useful gift that gives them more time and less stress, this is it.
We are a 105 year old concrete contractors with 5 generations of knowledge and the newer generation learning the wealth of information being handed down. As being the third generation and having the opportunity to learn from my father that learned from his father that came from Italy. My father turned a 5 man company to over a hundred man company. You don’t do that by sitting on your hands. I had the most respect of my father’s ability to do layouts and calculations the old fashion way, the way he was taught. His knowledge passed down was my learning curve. When we had to do a job that had dimensions that required advanced math, we would divide the areas into measurable areas. Not everyone knows the formulas for certain areas. This device now allows for that area to be verified just by tracing the outline of the area needed for pouring or calculating the cost of the bid. Once you learn the the process, it’s a business tool that will allow you to be a step ahead of the competition. I guess this old dog learned a new trick and the cost is very very reasonable for all the benefits that you receive. This old dog loves it.
Since learning how to use the moasure device I feel much more confident submitting estimates on sod and mulch.I know the amounts of product I estimated will not be too much or too little. Thanks for developing this little gem for us
I am a general contractor and build houses mainly. I needed a measuring tool to calculate footings, block, driveways, other areas like that. When I found Moasure I thought it was a neat gimmick, but I couldn’t find any General Contractors commenting on it so I wasn’t sure if I could use it effectively.
I am glad I took the chance. It has been very good in helping me measure and calculate slabs, footings, and many other things that I was just stepping off before.
Getting out a tape was a hassle if you have to make 20 turns with it, but Moasure is different. So Easy. So convenient. So accurate.
I whole heartedly recommend using it for many construction projects and letting it do the work and calculating for you.
General contractors and subs can use it as much as the landscapers and pool guys that they advertise on the site.
Take the guesswork out of things and be accurate and precise just as simply as before!
I have 2 separate jobs where I do disc golf course design for one and concrete estimates for the other. The Moasure One has saved me lots of time, and people just think it is the coolest tool. Plus I use it around the house all the time....Every homeowner should own a Moasure!
