Moasure enables you to take the following types of measurements:
Measure the size of an object.
Measure the dimensions of a room.
Measure any distance up to 100m / 325ft.
Measure the angle between two lines or two surfaces.
Tap the ‘measuring mode’ button at the bottom of the screen, and choose the mode you want to use.
How to measure the size of an object
Following the instructions on the screen, hold your phone at one side of the object and press the Start Measurement button. When instructed, move the phone to the end. Repeat to get an average measurement.
How to measure a room dimension
Following the instructions on the screen, hold your phone on one wall of the room and press the Start Measurement button. When instructed, move the phone to the other wall. Repeat to get an average measurement.
How to measuring round obstacles
Simply walk around the obstacle while measuring, and Moasure will calculate the distance through the obstacle.
Multi-step measurements
For measurements greater than 3m / 10ft, the result will be more accurate if you measure in 2 or more steps.
How to increase the accuracy of the measurements:
Pick the phone up, move it and then put it down again, rather than slide it along the surface of the object.
Move your phone smoothly through the air, holding the phone parallel to the object being measured. Avoid rotating your phone.
Take the measurement as quickly as possible. The 5-second timer bar indicates when the measurement accuracy will deteriorate. If the timer bar reaches the amber or red regions, we recommend using the multi-step measurement mode instead (coming up next).
The accuracy of the measurement can be significantly improved by repeating the measurement up to five times, and using the average value. Because of the limited accuracy of the motion sensors in your phone, we recommend taking the average of two or three measurements to be confident in the result. If one result appears very different to the others it can be deleted by tapping the [image of the cross in a circle] button.

Put your phone with either the left side of the phone aligned with the left side of the object, or the right side of your phone aligned with the right side of the object. Tap the ‘Start Measurement’ button. (You can also tap the ‘Start’ button before aligning the phone against the object). Hold the phone still against the object until Moasure indicates you should move it to the end of the measurement (about 1 second). If it still says ‘WAIT’ after a few seconds, the object may be vibrating too much. Tap the ‘Cancel’ button and start again. Quickly move the phone and align it against the other edge of the object being measured. Align the opposite edge of the phone with the edge of the measured object. Hold the phone still against the object until the measured value is displayed (about 2 seconds). Increase the accuracy of the measurement by repeating the measurement up to five times, and using the average value. Because of the limited accuracy of the motion sensors in your phone, we recommend taking the average of two or three measurements to be confident in the result. If one result appears very different from the others it can be deleted by tapping the [image of the cross in a circle] button. Watch the video to see how to average multiple measurements: Measurements will be more accurate if you pick the phone up, move it and put it down again, rather than slide it along the surface of the object. Accuracy will also be improved by taking the measurement quickly. The 5-second timer bar indicates when the accuracy will deteriorate. If the timer bar reaches the amber or red regions, we recommend using the multi-step measurement mode instead.
4. Single distance Portrait’ measurement mode
“Tap the ‘measuring mode’ button at the centre bottom of the screen, and choose the mode you want to measure with. The currently selected mode is used to measure the distance between two surfaces up to 3m / 10ft apart, e.g. the distance between two walls to measure a room dimension. Watch the video clip to see how to measure in this mode. Put your phone with the back of the phone against the first surface e.g. against a wall. Tap the ‘Start Measurement’ button. (You can also tap the ‘Start’ button before placing the phone against the surface). Hold the phone stationary against the surface until Moasure indicates you should move it to the end of the measurement (about 1 second). If it still says ‘WAIT’ after a few seconds, the surface may be vibrating too much. Tap the ‘Cancel’ button and start again. Quickly move the phone and put the back of it against the second surface, e.g. the opposite wall. Hold the phone stationary against the surface until the measured value is displayed (about 2 seconds). Moasure takes the thickness of your phone into account when calculating the measurement result. Increase the accuracy of the measurement by repeating the measurement up to five times, and using the average value. Because of the limited accuracy of the motion sensors in your phone, we recommend taking the average of two or three measurements to be confident in the result. After about 3 seconds, temporarily rest the phone against any stationary object within reach – don’t worry if the object is not in a straight line between the start and end of your measurement; Moasure will still calculate the straight line distance. After about 1 second, Moasure will indicate you can move on again, and continue measuring. Repeat the above steps until you reach the other edge of the object being measured, at which point align the opposite edge of the phone with the edge of the measured object. Hold the phone stationary against the object until the measured value is displayed (about 2 seconds). The accuracy of the measurement can be significantly improved by repeating the measurement up to five times, and using the average value. Lawn Measurements
We run a lawn fertilizing and weed control business. We base our application fees according to the square feet of each lawn. We thought we had an accurate way to do this by measuring them online using gps or a measuring wheel. The problem we had was that the majority of our lawns have many curves. This makes it very difficult to be accurate using a measuring wheel or gps within our software system. If we are not accurate it makes it difficult to be competitive with our pricing and for calculating product usage. I felt this was an issue with our business and decided to invest in Moasure and what a difference it made! I began measuring lawns and instantly found out that we were off in all of our lawn measurements. So if you are looking for true accuaracy invest in a Moasure.
We are a small landscape company in Southern California and busy as can be. Quoting 6 months lead time. Praise God! I as the owner/sales/chief bottle washer am always looking for ways to save time. This tool helps a great deal with measuring weird shapes and then being able to use them in my hand drawn sketches. Very cool - very productive - very accurate - with great support. Buy one, you will wonder how you ever did without it. I purchased the pole - makes it a lot easier.
We purchased the Moasure after seeing the advertisement on social media. We as a company had been exploring an option to digitally measure both pre and post production. We needed a method that could be shared in a file with our customers to quantify our measurements for invoicing. The Moasure has worked out very well so far, providing very accurate measurements, easy use, and data that our clients are satisfied with to justify invoiced quantities.
The device is as simple as it is brilliant. The absence of buttons makes it easy to operate. Once the Bluetooth connection has been made, you're good to go. Lots of short video's teach you to measure. That's great. My only suggestion is a video for explaining which options in the app to use for which type of measurement. Free export of files is also a major plus!
I have to admit there is a learning curve that some people might not be comfortable with, but with patience, the Moasure device is very accurate and dependable.
I used it to verify the finished grade for an RV site - spot on! Then I used it to calculate a gravel estimate for 400 ft of driveway. Again, perfect results.
I'm currently using it to plan and develop permit drawings for a building site. Using the "layers" function is a bit of a challenge, but it has allowed me to establish locations and dimensions of the existing structures and features of the site and export the data into a CAD program.
Bottom line: The Moasure device is a great purchase for any large property owner. It has saved me time and money with the DYI projects on my acreage.
I have been using my Moasure for about a month now and I couldn't be happier. I use it mainly to do existing conditions measurements for buildings but have done some site take-offs as well. Export to CAD works great. It all takes some getting used to but it's worth it. Great Tool, thanks Moasure.
I bought Moasure One hoping to map out a backyard plot for a swimming pool I am designing. I did the tutorial and started trying to use it with very little success. I was sure it was user-error/ignorance, so I took the time to watch the online videos and explore the in-app help features. I typically enjoy printed collateral for learning. But, after watching the online videos and exploring the in-app help features, I realize the only thing needed improvement my expectations of how to learn. In just one afternoon, I finished Moasuring the yard and basic pool layout. Then, I went to another project and, using the Wall feature, Moasured the floorplan of a remodel project, imported the file to the design software I use, then mapped the best layout for the large-format porcelain tile we are installing. I know from past experience this tool really paid for itself in one afternoon.
Very satisfied.
This is amazing device, that replaces all measuring tools and it is helping to fulfill the most complicated tasks on the job field.
I use it mostly as the elevation tool..
I am impressed with the speed and accuracy of Moasure. I used it on my first day to calculate the amount of gravel my neighbor would need to zero scape his front yard. We were both impressed with the accuracy of it. Here’s a picture of the finished product.
Not a lot of technologie accessible in Nunavik like KuuJuuaq the school board of Kativik doesn't have a lot of original plan. So with your product i can easely take the sape, elevation and size for each school playground out there, very help full
I love this thing. I do landscaping as a side in the summer, and snow removal in the winter. I walk out the area to be shaped, put the points into CAD, then determine how much material needs to be moved, removed, trucked in etc. I am using that data to quantify my quoting process, and can figure out exactly how fast I can move dirt around with each machine. I haven't done enough jobs using it to get enough data yet, but it's already helping with the quoting process. I plan to use it in the winter too to help quote snow removal jobs.
While workinhg on a civil project I had need to transfer a bench mark level quite a distance with over 6 meters in elevation change. Instead of considerable time and shifts using a lazer level I thought I would try the Measure. I set point 1 at the bench mark and point 2 to a offset peg at the start of the 475mm FRC pipe run. I them calculated the excavation depth and used the moasure by setting point one at the transferred level and the excavation depth.
