Moasure enables you to take the following types of measurements:
Measure the size of an object.
Measure the dimensions of a room.
Measure any distance up to 100m / 325ft.
Measure the angle between two lines or two surfaces.
Tap the ‘measuring mode’ button at the bottom of the screen, and choose the mode you want to use.
How to measure the size of an object
Following the instructions on the screen, hold your phone at one side of the object and press the Start Measurement button. When instructed, move the phone to the end. Repeat to get an average measurement.
How to measure a room dimension
Following the instructions on the screen, hold your phone on one wall of the room and press the Start Measurement button. When instructed, move the phone to the other wall. Repeat to get an average measurement.
How to measuring round obstacles
Simply walk around the obstacle while measuring, and Moasure will calculate the distance through the obstacle.
Multi-step measurements
For measurements greater than 3m / 10ft, the result will be more accurate if you measure in 2 or more steps.
How to increase the accuracy of the measurements:
Pick the phone up, move it and then put it down again, rather than slide it along the surface of the object.
Move your phone smoothly through the air, holding the phone parallel to the object being measured. Avoid rotating your phone.
Take the measurement as quickly as possible. The 5-second timer bar indicates when the measurement accuracy will deteriorate. If the timer bar reaches the amber or red regions, we recommend using the multi-step measurement mode instead (coming up next).
The accuracy of the measurement can be significantly improved by repeating the measurement up to five times, and using the average value. Because of the limited accuracy of the motion sensors in your phone, we recommend taking the average of two or three measurements to be confident in the result. If one result appears very different to the others it can be deleted by tapping the [image of the cross in a circle] button.

3. Single distance landscape measurement
Put your phone with either the left side of the phone aligned with the left side of the object, or the right side of your phone aligned with the right side of the object. Tap the ‘Start Measurement’ button. (You can also tap the ‘Start’ button before aligning the phone against the object). Hold the phone still against the object until Moasure indicates you should move it to the end of the measurement (about 1 second). If it still says ‘WAIT’ after a few seconds, the object may be vibrating too much. Tap the ‘Cancel’ button and start again. Quickly move the phone and align it against the other edge of the object being measured. Align the opposite edge of the phone with the edge of the measured object. Hold the phone still against the object until the measured value is displayed (about 2 seconds). Increase the accuracy of the measurement by repeating the measurement up to five times, and using the average value. Because of the limited accuracy of the motion sensors in your phone, we recommend taking the average of two or three measurements to be confident in the result. If one result appears very different from the others it can be deleted by tapping the [image of the cross in a circle] button. Watch the video to see how to average multiple measurements: Measurements will be more accurate if you pick the phone up, move it and put it down again, rather than slide it along the surface of the object. Accuracy will also be improved by taking the measurement quickly. The 5-second timer bar indicates when the accuracy will deteriorate. If the timer bar reaches the amber or red regions, we recommend using the multi-step measurement mode instead.
4. Single distance Portrait’ measurement mode
“Tap the ‘measuring mode’ button at the centre bottom of the screen, and choose the mode you want to measure with. The currently selected mode is used to measure the distance between two surfaces up to 3m / 10ft apart, e.g. the distance between two walls to measure a room dimension. Watch the video clip to see how to measure in this mode. Put your phone with the back of the phone against the first surface e.g. against a wall. Tap the ‘Start Measurement’ button. (You can also tap the ‘Start’ button before placing the phone against the surface). Hold the phone stationary against the surface until Moasure indicates you should move it to the end of the measurement (about 1 second). If it still says ‘WAIT’ after a few seconds, the surface may be vibrating too much. Tap the ‘Cancel’ button and start again. Quickly move the phone and put the back of it against the second surface, e.g. the opposite wall. Hold the phone stationary against the surface until the measured value is displayed (about 2 seconds). Moasure takes the thickness of your phone into account when calculating the measurement result. Increase the accuracy of the measurement by repeating the measurement up to five times, and using the average value. Because of the limited accuracy of the motion sensors in your phone, we recommend taking the average of two or three measurements to be confident in the result. If one result appears very different to the others it can be deleted by tapping the [image of the cross in a circle] button. Hold the phone stationary against the object until Moasure indicates you should move it to the end of the measurement (about 1 second). If it still says ‘WAIT’ after a few seconds, the object may be vibrating too much. Tap the ‘Cancel’ button and start again. Quickly move the phone towards the other edge of the object being measured. After about 3 seconds, temporarily rest the phone against any stationary object within reach – don’t worry if the object is not in a straight line between the start and end of your measurement; Moasure will still calculate the straight line distance. After about 1 second, Moasure will indicate you can move on again, and continue measuring. Repeat the above steps until you reach the other edge of the object being measured, at which point align the opposite edge of the phone with the edge of the measured object. Hold the phone stationary against the object until the measured value is displayed (about 2 seconds). The accuracy of the measurement can be significantly improved by repeating the measurement up to five times, and using the average value. Awesome Product!!!
Moasure One is easy to use, very accurate, and perfect for multiple applications. I would recommend this product to anyone!
Moasure has sped up our estimating process by delivering accurate estimates, a file to show the proposed area(s) and takeoffs for our project. I attach these with each estimate and I have had nothing but compliments and success with having this tool. Extremely happy with our decision for the first month of use!
The Moasure one has accelerated the process of obtaining measurements for my business. I am able to transfer the illustration to my personal computer to work on it more. It is easy to learn and the in app tutorials helps improve your calculations. I am very pleased with this product.
Moasure has changed my entire client experience....
When I bring out my Moasure stick and start the measuring process, without exception, my clients, as well as a GC that might be there, are so impressed and intrigued. I'm finding that I have to take a few extra minutes to explain what all my Moasure can do, but my professional presentation is off the charts. So, you mix that along with the accuracy of the collected data, my plans contain dead on accuracy as well, I can add so much more that I couldn't collect before....Thanks Moasure! The confidence that I have in delivering plans that are accurate, so the guys in the field can trust the information that I provide and leaves less guessing on their part. This is a product that enhances my bag of tools that make me look really good... :)
I am really impressed by the capabilities of this little device, working as a civil engineer in heavy construction it has turned to be a realible tool to measure areas, volumes and changes in elevation, i totally recommend this device!
It's super handy, really accurate! It's has made me look even more professional. And faster. Clients really like getting a copy of the measurements, what is really easy to give with a couple of clicks. Get this product if you want to go next level :D
All the people who have known the equipment have been delighted and are very interested in acquiring the equipment.
To make learning easier, a series of videos on YouTube with the different applications would be important.

If you’re anything like our small business, Changing even the smallest procedures can be like moving a mountain. Everything from using a new kind of paper in the printer, all the way to purchasing a different make of tractor seem to involve pushback from at least a few people in the room. People are comfortable in their routine, even if there are proven ways to save time and effort. The reason I’m spending so much time on this portion of my “review” of Moasure, is because that was the hardest part. Even as the person making the decision to purchase the system, my stomach sank when I thought about having to “sell” my crews on the device. I KNEW that it would make their jobs 10 times easier, they just needed to see it in action. I figured I had nothing to lose with the money back guarantee, so I ordered the system. It sat in my office for several days before I even opened it. I’m telling you, I was afraid to open “Pandora’s Box”. I knew that as soon as I did, the moaning would start from people having to learn a “new” system. So, I let it sit for a few more days.. The next time my construction supervisor came into the office, I showed him the device attached to the “stick”. He was instantly skeptical, but he was curious enough to try it out. Together we downloaded the app onto my phone, and went outside to play around with it. I could tell when we started messing around with it, his skepticism was waning. He was eager to try different areas and elevation samples and then compare them with the traditional line levels, string, etc. that we had always used. Not only was he impressed with the accuracy, he was having fun! I was relieved since I knew that if HE was convinced, the rest would be easy. The system has been a game changer for us. I could have spent my review talking about the various features and how it works, but all of that information is readily available. For me, the hard part was always going to be getting buy-in from the guys who were actually going to use the system. And that turned out to be not hard at all. I can’t recommend Moasure enough.
